2022 FIFA World Cup full fixtures, schedule, and timing

Net Worth:

The tournament began with the host nation Qatar losing against Ecuador.

The countdown to an international extravaganza in Qatar has started as 32 nations get ready to start fighting for the highest prize in international football. From November 20 until December 18, 2022, Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup.

The competition is in its 22nd year and this year’s game is the first ever to be held in the Arab world. With 32 teams vying for the most coveted prize in international football, the World Cup final will be contested on December 18 in the Lusail stadium, the biggest of the eight venues hosting the event.

Teams and Groups

Eight groups of four teams each make up the 32 teams. The knockout stages, which consist of the round of 16, quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship games, are advanced by the top two clubs from each group.

For the first time, the World Cup is not only being staged in an Arab country, but it is also happening in the dead of winter.

Group A

The Netherlands, the defending AFCON champions, Senegal, the hosts Qatar, and South American qualifiers Ecuador make up Group A for the 2022 World Cup. All four teams had lost their previous finals.

The Netherlands will be the favorite to win the group, while the host nation will want to get to the knockout stages for the first time. Undoubtedly, the AFCON champions will make an effort to get past the group stage, but they will face opposition from the host nation and Ecuador.

Group B

In Group B of the 2022 World Cup, one of the favorites, England, will battle against Iran, Wales, the United States, the host nation, and another member of the host squad.

The medalists for the Euro 2020 In addition to being the favorite to go to the knockout round, England is also the favorite to win the world championship.

Wales has finally qualified for the World Cup after a long wait of 64 years since their last appearance in the competition in 1958.

In the World Cup, they’ll be one of the underdogs. Because they have some talented players who can pull off some significant upsets, the USA and Iran shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Group C

Poland, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia will also be battling for a place in the round of 16 in a group where Argentina is the only team ranked in the top 10 prior to the start of the FIFA World Cup in November.

After a successful Asian qualifying campaign, Saudi Arabia will demand that its team perform above and above the minimum requirements. After defeating China, Australia, and Japan at home, they shouldn’t be underrated.

Mexico is a regular face at the tournament and will be the favorite to go to the knockout stages along with Argentina because they have qualified for seven consecutive World Cups.

Poland will try to give the other teams in the group a good battle since their top player, Robert Lewandowski, wants to advance his team.

Group D

We have France, the current world champions, in Group D of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The team led by Deschamps is one of the favorites to win the world championship trophy once more.

The Danish team defeated France in a UEFA Nations League group encounter, winning both games, and they expect to repeat this success in the premier soccer competition.

Australia and Tunisia make up the group’s final two members, and both countries are certain that either France or Denmark will falter in order to have a shot of making it to the round of 16.

Group E

Group of Death is essential to every World Cup. Group E in 2022 contains the 2010 champions Spain, the four-time champions Germany, an underdog Japan team, and the CONCACAF qualifiers Costa Rica, who have a history of advancing from difficult groups.

Germany will want to go to the knockout round under new coach Hansi Flick as they aim to win the global championship five times.

Spain is one of the favorites to win the world cup because they have a lot of youthful talent and some good veteran players, but Costa Rica and Japan are also capable of pulling off surprises because their teams are in strong form. They are considered dark horses for the world cup.

Group F

The two outstanding teams in this group, Belgium and Croatia, are accustomed to taking part in the enormous event that is international soccer.

This group also includes a team that is beginning to participate more frequently in activities like Morocco; in addition, Canada will be joining us, making its long-awaited return to the World Cup.

The favorites to advance from the group stages will undoubtedly be Belgium and Croatia, but Morocco and Canada will do everything in their power to exceed them and will put up a fierce battle against them.

Group G

The favorites to win the World Cup in 2022 are Brazil, who lead a group that also includes European powerhouses Cameroon and Switzerland as well as European representatives Switzerland and Serbia.

Brazil will be able to claim first place, but the race for second place between the other three teams will be difficult.

Group H

The group includes South Korea, a perennial World Cup contender, Ghana, one of Africa’s most legendary performers, and Portugal, the team of Cristiano Ronaldo. Uruguay, a two-time champion, is also included.

Portugal and Uruguay are both odds-on favorites to finish first in Group H or at the very least make it to the Round of 16. It is extremely unlikely that South Korea will place among the top two. To fight South Korea and Uruguay for second place, Ghana will try to do so vigorously.

Venues

Eight venues, including Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, Education City Stadium, and Al Janoub Stadium, will host the group games.
