Jason starred in Aquaman’s first solo film which was released in 2018, he also replayed his role in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.

He started dating Lisa Bonet a year after his engagement was called off. Jason and Lisa Bonnet got married in 2017 but they had a daughter ten years earlier, they had their second child in 2008. Jason and Lisa split up in the early months of 2022.

Momoa is a fan of heavy metal music and has been featured in several music videos. As part of his role in Stargate: Atlantis, he learned martial arts (jiu-jitsu) and has kept practicing to this day. Jason plays the Ukulele and the bass guitar, his hobby is music.
