Odumegwu-Ojukwu briefly practiced law after graduating from law school before giving it up so she could devote her time to her family, Bianca Blend, her cosmetics company, and Mirabella, her interior design company.
Although she was hesitant to model, Odumegwu-Ojukwu led print ads for her company. She also founded Hope House Trust, a nonprofit organization in Enugu dedicated to helping young criminals get their lives back on track.
Breakthrough
Odumegwu-Ojukwu won the title of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria in December 1988 after recently winning Miss Martini. She held the title for the majority of 1989. Prior to competing for her nation in Miss World in Hong Kong and Miss Universe in Mexico, she also took first place in Miss Africa 1989 contest organized in the Gambia.
She had even more achievement the following year when she won Miss Intercontinental and was named Miss Congeniality at the now-defunct Miss Charm International in Russia, where she had also advanced to the semifinals.

She is a member of the board of trustees of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, a political organization that her late husband Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu formed and that has long held sway in Anambra State.

Relationship
Ikemba Odumegwu-Ojukwu and Odumegwu-Ojukwu were married and had three children together before Ikemba passed away in 2011.
