Early Life

Folarin Falana was birthed on the 27th of October, 1990 in Mushin, Lagos state. His parents are Femi and Funmi Falana, who are human rights activists and lawyers. Falz obtained his primary education at St. Leo’s Catholic Primary School, Ikeja. His secondary education was acquired at Olashore International School, Osun state.

He finished the Nigerian Law School in Abuja and was called to bar in 2012. Falz also graduated with an LLB Honors Degree in Law from the University of Reading, England.

Career

Falz created a music group with his friend which he named The School Boys while in secondary school. He launched his music career professionally in 2009 releasing the mixtape Shakara: The Mixtape. The singles Wahz Up Guy, High Class, and Currency were released in 2011.

Falz’s debut studio album Wazup Guy was dropped in January 2014. The various tracks were produced by Spellz, DJ Woske, Tin Tin, Studio Magic, and many others.
